Mary Immaculate College, also known as Mary I, is a College of Education and Liberal Arts, founded in 1898. It became academically linked to the University of Limerick in 1991. The college has approximately 2,500 students. It is located to the south of Limerick city, roughly a fifteen minute walk from the Limerick bus and train station.

The College was established as a dedicated primary teacher training college and since 1991, degrees have been accredited by the University of Limerick. About 15% of students on campus are mature students, a relatively high figure when compared to other third level institutions
