It was the small home of a Gaelic speaking family, farmers and fishermen, knitters, turf cutters who lived in special harmony with the wild nature of their place. The culture of this community was one of the few places where traditional Gaelic culture survived and today you can still hear the Irish language spoken in the local shops and bars. Situated on the outskirts of the village, it is just ten miles west of the bustling city of Galway but still only 3 minutes walk from great restaurants, pubs and the workshops of some of Ireland’s finest crafts people.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern conveniences including washer/dryer, cooker, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The beautifully restored sitting room has a TV and an original fireplace with a turf/wood burning stove. There is a garden to the front and the rear small patio with basic seating plus a built-in grill that can be used to barbeque.
