Sorry no pets. Dromahair village has two shops, a post office, a pharmacy, three pubs and two restaurants.
Manorhamilton is a large town with a handful of shops including SuperValu, butchers and boutiques. There are three cafes, a small variety of restaurants and pubs, two pharmacies, a vets, a Bank of Ireland and an Allied Irish Bank.
Sligo is a much larger town with large supermarkets such as Tesco and Lidl and much more!
~ Lough Gill is a freshwater lough in Sligo but partly in Leitrim. Famously known for its mention in the poetry of W.B.Yeats, the lough holds brown trout and salmon.
~ The Rose of Innisfree Boat Tours operates on Lough Gill and offers trips around the lake with guided commentary and bar facilities to showcase the spectacular scenery as mentioned by W.B.Yeats. You can catch the boat from Parkes' Castle in Kilmore, Leitrim.
~ Slish Wood is a delightful lakeshore and hillside walking trail through the forest. It is waymarked, easy to follow and overlooks Lough Gill. Some uphill parts of the trail can be strenuous so please plan your route!
~ Drumcliffe Church in Sligo is best known as the final resting place of W.B.Yeats. Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Benbulben Mountains, his grave can be found with the inscription "cast a cold eye on life, on death, horseman pass by."
