This delightful bungalow enjoys splendid rear views over the Atlantic Ocean and distant Connemara Mountains and over the Burren to the front. It has a cosy traditional feel with comfortable pine furnishings, an open fire and wooden ceilings with free WiFi for guests. Just a short walk takes you to the shoreline and small sandy beach suitable for swimming, surfing and fishing. The small village of Fanore has a pub and shop where you can top up on essentials.

Fanore has a beautiful beach, which is suitable for swimming, surfing, fishing or just taking a stroll.

The village is quaint with a shop and a pub (serves food and has traditional music March-end Sept) and further down the coast is Fitzpatrick\'s, a general merchant and post office and O\'Donoghue\'s pub, which has music on Saturday nights.

There is a surf school at the local beach, just a few hundred yards from the cottage

Ballyvaughan has a farmers\' market, gift shops, traditional inns and restaurants. The beach at Bishopsquarter is close by and boasts sailing and wind surfing.

Within driving distance is the city of Galway, the Poulnabrone Dolmen burial tomb, the stunning Cliffs of Moher and the breathtaking Burren National Park

Lahinch 10 miles away noted for surfing and its championship Golf Links.

Lisdoonvarna 7.5 miles is famous for its matchmaking festival in September

FESTIVALS:
*The Russell Memorial Weekend is a traditional festival held in Doolin on the the last full weekend in February each year. The festival began in 1995 as a remembrance ceremony to Micho Russell, the world-famous traditional musician, who died in 1994.

* The Burren in Bloom Festival returns this year with a series of illustrated talks and organised walks throughout the month of May. The Festival, in association with the Burren College of Art and the Burrenbeo Trust, will give people an understanding and appreciation of the Burren and its formation, and how it continues to be a source of great botanical, archaeological, and cultural wealth with its unique wild flowers and ancient sites.

* Lisdoonvarna,a spa town is in north County Clare on the road from Ennistymon to Ballyvaughan . It is known for its September festival, Ireland\'s largest single matchmaking festival.

*The Scoil Samhraidh Willie Clancy is Ireland\'s largest traditional music summer school, held annually since 1973 in memory of the piper Willie Clancy. During the week, nearly a thousand students from every part of the world attend daily classes taught by experts in Irish music and dance. In addition, a full program of lectures, recitals, dances (ceilithe) and exhibitions are run by the summer school.
All events are held in and near Miltown Malbay in County Clare starting on the first Saturday in July.
