Birchview Lodge


Birchview Lodge is a new luxurious holiday home situated on private grounds, located 1km from the picturesque town of Kenmare, and nestled under the scenic Caha Mountains. Flora, fauna and wildlife such as seals and spectacular birdlife living in the Kenmare Bay can be seen aboard the Seafari Seal Watching cruises, located at Kenmare Pier, which is only a 10 minute walk from the house.


Other attractions in the area include the Star Outdoors marina, Faungorth Activity Centre, Gleninchaquin Park, Molly Galvin's Traditional Irish Homestead, and tours of both the Ring of Kerry, and the Ring of Beara. Birchview Lodge is ideally located for golfers, only 1km away from the local 18 hole Kenmare Golf Club, and 7km from the Ring of Kerry Golf Course. The town of Kenmare is a short walk away from the house, and has many pubs and restaurants offering good food and drink, and there is live music by local musicians each night in the majority of pubs.


Accommodation
The accommodation is composed of four spacious bedrooms, three double and one single, and all en-suite. The rooms are all timber-floored, with large rugs. The master bedroom also has a walk in wardrobe, and both a shower and bathtub in the en-suite bathroom.
Downstairs, the entrance hall is tiled with beautiful wooden ceiling beams, and also a downstairs bathroom with electric shower. The dining room has a solid fuel burner. The lounge then has a leather couch with two recliners, an open fire, a 28" television, and many attractive paintings on display. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven, hob, fridge and dishwasher, and a table. There is a utility room off the kitchen, with a freezer, washing machine, dryer, and storage space.
Outside there is a large grass space, however there is also an unprotected stream, making the house unsuitable for children under the age of six.
Linen and towels are provided. Fire starter pack provided. Electricity and oil used for heating are an extra charge and are meter read at the end of the stay. No Smoking.
