The nearby area is a walker's paradise with routes for all capabilities with three highly rated 18 hole courses within 10 miles of the Castle and public Tennis courts within 5 miles.

The luxury castle accommodation includes:

Downstairs: Newly refurbished and fully equipped old country-style kitchen, featuring all modern conveniences including American style double fridge, dishwasher, washer, dryer, oven, microwave etc. seating for 6-12

Dining room: elegant dining room with capacity for 15-18 seated. Optional dining room seating 30 for special occasions(extra cost).

Lounge: elegant double lounge (seating 12) featuring anteroom with full snooker table, leading to outdoor garden, covered terrace and barbeque area. First floor lounge seating 6-8.

Castle room: Period style brass beds (1 x 5ft and 1 x single) with ensuite bathroom. Views of surrounding countryside.

Copper Beeches suite: Period style brass beds (1 x 5ft and 1 x single) + double sofa bed (suitable for accommodating 1 adult or 2 children, ideal for families). Adjacent large private bathroom featuring stand-alone claw-foot slipper style roll-top bath tub. View to front of the castle and the eponymous beautiful copper beech trees.

Generals room: Sleigh bed (5ft) + double sofa bed (suitable for accommodating 1 adult or 2 children). Ensuite bathroom. View to walled gardens at rear of castle.

Second Floor:
The Tower Studio: 4 poster bed (4ft 6in) + double sofa bed, with ensuite bathroom. Expansive views to front and side of castle grounds and surrounding countryside.


Its central location, 1 hour drive from Cork, Kilkenny, and Limerick.  2.5 hours from Dublin, Killarney and Galway makes this luxury Castle a very convenient location to explore the beauty of Southern Ireland.  The castle is also just 800 metres from the village of Bansha, with its famous Nellie's Pub.

Bansha lies at the centre of the heritage trail; The Rock of Cashel, Cahir Castle, Swiss Cottage, Mitchelstown Caves, Holycross Abbey and the Medieval City of Kilkenny are all near by.

The nearby area is also ideal for outdoors activities such as Golf, Walking & Cycling, Mountain Biking, Bike Hire, Fly fishing on the river Suir in season, Tennis and Horse Riding.
